Although our catalog is growing every day, there will be times that you can’t find a product. In that case, you can add it manually (it automatically appears in our catalog, to be vetted by our team). As we update our AI interface, we will be introducing an ‘add product widget’ that will let you find that product on the manufacturer’s website and automatically add it in one click.
- CLICK “CREATE NEW”: and fill in details in the next pictures
- FILL IN INFORMATION: You begin by choosing which CSI Division the product belongs in.
- CSI Number: If you don’t know which CSI # to choose, or don’t want to, simply choose “Unassigned”, the top choice.
- OTHER DETAILS: Fill in basic information, including the description from the manufacturer’s page. The most important field to fill in is the Product URL (actually cutting and pasting the URL from the manufacturer’s own website – NOT from a rep or distributor’s website). This will ensure that when our team vets the product you added, they know the correct product you intended.
For manually entered products, basic information like Description and Product Type, which appear in the Catalog, remain editable by the original “author” until they are vetted by our staff. Then those fields are locked.
