People can be invited to a Project’s Material List, whether they are internal or external team members or collaborators. You can assign their permission level when you invite them, and change it as needed. Some designers curate Master Lists for their client and then transfer “ownership” to the client when done. Below shows you how to invite someone when you create a new project then after that, see how to invite someone to an existing project.
First, you would create a new project as shown in the previous section. Then:
- CLICK ADD USER: Click in this text box to reveal a drop-down list of users (their names will appear if they are active users – within your company OR external team members). If they have not yet signed on, you can type in their email, and they will get an invitation.
- CHOOSE THE PERSON: Scroll down the list and click on the person’s email to invite them (or just start typing their email if your list is very long.) The system will know who you mean! You can add more than one person at once. If they are not in the system, just type in their email to add them.
- ASSIGN PERMISSION: Next to each person’s name that you invite, there is a permissions button. Click the button to see the drop-down menu of choices, select the one you want (you can always change it!).

To invite someone to an existing project, whether they are an internal colleague or an external collaborator, just 1.) click on the pencil icon at the top of the Material List page next to the name of the project then 2.) add the email of the person you want to invite and 3.) assign their permission.
If you do not see the pencil icon, that means you are not the owner of that Material List. In that case, click on the (i) info symbol to see who the owner is and then you can request access from them.
