We’ve made it very easy to create internal standards for your organization (or for your clients!). It’s as easy as choosing from a take-out menu! Once set, anyone on a project team who adds a product to a Material List can immediately see if that product is compliant with the standard or not! You can set one or more standard – and compliance checking is one click – this is one of BE’s Easy Buttons!
You can create one Master Standard for your entire firm or you can create multiple project-or theme specific standards like Healthcare, K-12, hospitality or Interiors, Landscape, Structures. When an owner does this (or their design firm does it for them) it makes onboarding all design teams super easy and ensures compliance automatically! For large firms, this will also ensure compliance across all projects and project teams. Standard setting is based on mindfulMATERIALS Common Material Framework, but not limited to that criteria.
The view below is an example when the Standards/Compliance button is checked for a Material List – showing what complies and what doesn’t. You can then click on any pink/noncompliant row to open the PDP (Product Detail Page) and click again to see WHY it was noncompliant. This can be for a few reasons, either lack of data or true noncompliance – for example, if your standard requires health disclosure at 100 ppm and the product only discloses 1000 ppm. In the following sections you will see how to create standards.
(We are still working to refine product data to enable all 5 CMF “buckets” as they are updated by mM).
