Whether your company wants to track and report for the AIA Material Pledge, as part of client ESG reporting, or just to assess progress and set new strategic targets, using BuildingEase for your workflow across all projects enables this automatically and eliminates deadly time drain.
Later this year we will add a visualization dashboard. In the meantime, you can display and analyze this data or export it to a spreadsheet (for reporting) and you can create visualizations easily within Excel or by applying tools like Tableau and Power BI.

Any organization can track portfolio wide performance based on the CMF (Common Material Framework) as well as any other data that is captured in our platform. You will be able to correlate compliance with CMF and project type, location and building rating systems, assuming your project profiles in our system include that information.
Governmental bodies (federal/city/state) who have programs or regulations related to materials (health, embodied carbon) can use this function to track progress across agencies and trade associations can track industry-wide progress.
This tracking function can also be used to identify and target strategic improvement; identifying which product types have the least compliance or which project types are making less progress, etc.
Note: Privacy is always protected. No one will ever see identifying data for you, your organization or projects without your permission. For our public industry reports and analytics, we share only trends and aggregated data.
Portfolio Wide Data
This section shows how to display every product added to every project across your entire organization (portfolio wide). Now you can monitor progress, strategize areas to target for improvement or export for reporting to the AIA Materials Pledge, ESG or other programs.
PRO TIP – TO SEARCH ACROSS ALL MATERIAL LISTS: If you want to search across ALL of your org.’s Material Lists for any reason other than reporting, simply click on this “View All” button and then search as you would in a single Material List (either simple search or detailed search).
- CLICK “VIEW ALL”: This is another 1-click Easy Button! This may take a few minutes to load if you have many projects. Just click the “View All” button at the top of your organization’s Library and your data will be exported to a spreadsheet. You can finalize what data is exported either at this step (a pop up will show you what fields are selected) or you can open the Control Panel and set what data is displayed there – just follow the steps 2 and 3 below.
- OPEN SETTINGS: Click the gear icon at the top right of your screen and the Control Panel opens so you can select what data details to display.
- SELECT DATA: In the Settings window, check the boxes for the data you want to display in this view.
